Song of the Day "Locomotive Curt" - Locomotive Curt
What?
This is hilarious. This fat little bastard has some fucking style to pull this kind of shit off. I'm down with this kid's attitude, it literally looks like he could care less what you thought about him, JUST GET OUT OF HIS WAY BITCH!!!
I don't have a good reason to like this song, it's just funny to me and that's why Locomotive Curt is my song of the day.

Song of the Day: "Bitch Bad" - Lupe Fiasco
Now it isn't unusual for Rappers to use their musical medium to get up onto a Soapbox and vent their grievances with the state of the world and society in general I think Lupe has done an excellent job in articulating the way women are depicted in popular culture. The lack of self respect famous female artist portray is detrimental to the youth of today and hopefully with this video Lupe can promote awareness and more importantly self respect.
Bitch Bad, Woman Good. Not the most elegant statement but simple and effective enough to teach people and more importantly children about the importance of self esteem and respect.
The song has an great message and a smooth beat and that's why "Bitch bad" by Lupe Fiasco is my Song of the Day.
Sleeping Dogs Review Round-Up and GTA 5 Trailer 2 Impressions
Well there it is, the latest trailer for GTA 5 and we are introduced to the 3 playable characters for this chapter of the Bench mark in immersive sandbox gaming, Grand Theft Auto V (They're continuing on with the Roman numeral thing, heh Roman).
While the game doesn't so much Gameplay if any at all but it does so a lot of exposition and the backgrounds of Trevor, Michael and Franklin. The 3 criminals the player will be controlling and switching between as they explore Los Santos and various surrounding areas (Fictional Los Angelos and South California) with a World Map touted to be bigger and more expansive then the past 4 Rockstar Titles combined.
Well I know I'm now looking forward to what Rockstar can deliver after what we got with Sleeping Dogs.
Two best Friends play Sleeping Dogs:

Gamespot Video Review: 8.0
Rageaholic Sleeping Dogs Review: Rent It or Buy It, Just Play it
Escapsist Zero Punctuation Review: Pretty Good for a GTA clone but still not GTA: San Andreas Good

Song of the Day: "Idiot Boyfriend" - Jimmy Fallon
I'm starting to be won over with Jimmy Fallon, at first I wasn't pleased that he took The Late Show from Conan, even though the idea of network television corporate decisions shouldn't be such a major factor when deciding the worth of someone. But I remember that Jimmy Fallon has made laugh before.
Seriously, Idiot Boyfriend is a genius song. I can't help but laugh every time I watch it. I don't know if any of these examples are actual things he's done or witnessed but some of these lyrics and examples of idiocy described are hilarious.
Also strange seeing a younger, blonder Zooey Deschanel that I'm use to seeing now...
Then again at no point was she being quirky and loud so I dunno if she just went crazy in his early thirties.
Anyway, this song is funny and funky as hell and that's why Late Night Host Jimmy Fallon's song "Idiot Boyfriend" is my song of the day.
Movember Motivatation from the Mo' Master
I'm not sure if I mentioned before but I am doing movember this year, sure I promise a picture at the end of this. The best thing is though, my moustache is already pretty full so it doesn't actually look all that bad right now.
But You'll have to see it in all it's glory at the end of the month. Also FYI I actually had to trim it so it would come in more evenly, the sides were coming in too thick last week so I had to trim them down. I will have a decent moustache to show for my efforts. Whatever money I sollict from people at the end of the month when I walk around with a tin I will then match then just donate to the cause.
Prostate Cancer Sucks, we should definetly fund that research.
Anyway, here's the original Message from Nick Offerman about the Movember Moustache tradition.

Dream Diary - The Ocean
I remember sharing this made up sook story on Facebook on a page about nightmares, half of this is true. You half to guess which parts are real.
I had a dream last night where I was swimming in a harbour...
The ocean was a wonderful crisp and clear baby blue, the sun was out and it was just a magnificent day. No idea how I got there, seemed like God had dropped me in the vast ocean but I was surrounded by friends and family.
After swimming around whenever I saw a landmark and then tried to swim over to it just got further away and I ended up where I started from. I felt helpless as other people beside me swam away to these fantastic and interesting looking places.
After a while I was alone and the Ocean became darker and steadily started freezing, I felt its icy grasp and all the warmth was absorbed out of my body. I woke up and just started weeping.
So yeah, take a guess... which parts I dreamt and which parts I add to make the story more interesting.

Song of the Day: "Misread" - Kings Of Convenience
In the early 2000's I use to buy a ton of cheap alternative easy listening CD's at pawn stores, that's was the only real way I could find any good folk music before Spotify and other internet music services. I found many great songs and I look into my Easy listening archive and pull out a favourite track from Norwegian duo, Kings of Convenience.
I haven't heard any other tracks from them but this beautiful bouncy jazzy tune really does put me at ease. It's like a pleasant stroll through the park... It has this strange affect on me like everything feels familur and safe.
So because of all that, that's why "Misread" by the Kings of Convenience is my Song of the day.
Get in my Guard Bro
A martial art based around effective group grappling, sounds silly fighting on the ground. But rolling around and putting people in triangles is all the rage now. Didn't you know?
Brazilian Jui Jitsu has recently received a noticeable rise in popularity all thanks to the UFC. Gyms all over the world seem to be full of guys learning the ground grappling art. I don't know about you but I never use to hear about people getting put into Armbars, now it just seems it happen every weekend.
Now I can understand the interest and rise in popularity, guys want to know that the self defence they know it applicable to the streets and multiple scenarios rather than just in the gym. The Effectiveness of BJJ in the UFC was just the exposure the art needed.
If it continues to go this way BJJ might become an official Olympic sport like other forms of self defence which include Boxing, Judo, Wrestling and Tae Kwon Do.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has become so popular even the Simpsons have recently made a joke on it. Now Fall atop me and face your doom!
But to be honest, the amount of UFC fanboys that are learning Jui Jitsu is worrying. I mean I'm bad enough as it is, could you imagine more guys like this in the World?
Seriously bro, Get in my Guard...

Song of the Day: "Remind Me" - Röyksopp
[Video Mix]
[Album Mix]
There are two versions of this song. The album mix and the video mix. I love the video of this song but I like the album mix better than the video mix. So someone was savvy enough to put the slower and more peaceful album mix over the beautifully made and designed info graph that is the "Remind me" music video.
From explaining the water cycle to underground transportations systems this video clip is like they've looked at everyone's daily life's and just cut everything in half and explains to the audience how everything works. It's just a nice smooth jam and the video clip really adds to the it.
This song was stuch in my head while I was writing the UFC rundown as I tried to remind myself to keep typing and to listen to some good music to help pass the time. That's why Röyksopp's "Remind Me" is the song of the day.
UFC 153: Anderson Silva to the Rescue
October 13th, 2012
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Alright we were supposed to get a whole different card with many match-ups falling through because of so many of the Fighters getting injured. But they make up for it by having Anderson Silva jump up in weight divisions to take on the American Psycho. Stephan Bonnar. A guy who has yet to be stopped or KO'd in the UFC.
This is Stephan Bonnar's dream match, to try and take down the top dog in the UFC. The guy they consider the Greatest Fighter in the World. This is a dream match for any fighter to face the Best in the World, your career will change overnight if you manage to beat him.
So you know, I'm interested to see if Bonnar can do it, or if it'll just be a total shut out and Anderson will make him look like a fool. Anderson Silva has a skill of making people look stupid. He made Sonnen look like a fucking moron after he went for a spinning back fist.
Alright let's get this started from the beginning, this should fun giving my rundown of the UFC 153 as a fight fan. This should be enough words to fill my 500 a day quota that missed this week.Besides, I'm going to UFC nerd out all over this, this is some weird MMA fanboy nonsense being posted on the internet... Enjoy
========================================
We got an American Wrestler / Striker (Rick Story) vs. a Guerrilla Brazilian Ju Jitsu Blackbelt (Damien Maia)
Round 1: Damien scores an early front single leg takedown and then Just textbook Jiu Jitsu as he starts advancing his position as soon as he scores the take down. Damien works his way up and onto Rick's back while landing some punches from side guard. He slips both leg hooks in and goes for the Rear naked choke finish. He can't get the choke(slip his hand under his chin) so he just squeezes his skull until he shoots blood out of his nose. That's fucking insane! first round submission victory to Damien Maia.
Brazilians home crowd go insane for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu victory.
Result: Damien Maia wins by a first Round Submission - 2 min 31 sec Via: Rear Naked Choke / Neck Crank
Short Review: Damien Maia takes Rick Story down early and using his sjiu jitsu ninja's his way into a rear naked choke in 2 and a half minutes. Even though he couldn't quite get the choke he changes it to a nasty neck crank, blood shot out of Rick's nose and he just had to tap after that. Totally insane.
Sidenote: If you are a student of BJJ it is probably a good idea to study this fight and try and see how to advance your position from a from front single leg take down into and advance into a rear naked choke position. See if you can do it in under 3 minutes on a highly skilled Wrestler.
Impressive fight domination from Damien Maia.

Good Lord Wadnger Prado looks like a fucking scary Brazilian man. He's also the first fighter to successfully retrieve his hat from a fan during his entrance walk out. Phil Davis looks like a cartoon character as Joe Rogan has pointed out numerous times before. Also just quietly, I'm a huge fan of that Joe Rogan Podcast.
Alright so got a Supreme Wrestler that seems to always improving vs. a scary fight ending motherfucker of a muay thai striker. So how you got?
Round 1: Anyway this match starts off with a simple exchange where Davis just ducks under a punch from Prado and takes him down. He take just holds him to the ground and just beats him up for a while. Prado gets back to his feet but Davis mediately drops down, picks him up and executes a mean lifting double leg takedown. Drives him head first into the mat, just a beautifully brutal take down. Davis continues to land major significant strikes on the ground, Prado then works his way back up after being beaten up for a bit and then he gets thrown backwards back onto the mat and he's there until the round ends basically. Davis clearly won that round with his superior grappling and wrestling.
Round 2: After a long feeling out process again Davis jumps at Prado with a Flying knee then drops down for another take down attempt. Davis doesn't take him down immediately but he works him there. Again more powerful ground strikes while Davis maintains the dominant top position. Prado works his way back up and they separate but Davis gets him back down with an impressive take down take Prado actually blocked buy Davis worked around it and just took him down anyway. Just impressive Wrestling. He eventually works his way into an Arm triangle and the match looks as good as done. But Prado gets out but Davis just does this fucking beautiful move. He gets him in a front headlock and drags him down to the ground and does this move called a 'gator roll' where he spins them using his own body weight into a better position to get him into a Anaconda Choke Tap Out.
Brazilian crowd who were silent during most of the fight but acknowledge Phil's skill and cheer his victory politely.
Result: Phil Davis wins by a 2nd Round Submission - 4 minutes 29 seconds Via: Anaconda Choke
Short Review: Wrestler (Phil Davis) Slams Muay Thai Striker (Wagner Prado) multiple times then uses an Awesome Anaconda choke to finish it in the 2nd. Phil Davis is a contender and is always improving, Impressive Submission Wrestling victory from Mr. Wonderful.
=============================
Erick Silva is entering the fight with a 3 match winning streak, that's how many fights he's had in the UFC and he's never had a match go past the First round. He's ended all his previous fights with his flashy striking game, Jon Fitch is really an experienced fighter that really needs a win to stay contracted or at least financially afloat. it seems Jon doesn't seem to be getting many sponsorships or just interest behind him these days even though at one stage he was a true contender for the Welterweight title, so he's ready to go out and work for a Fight of the Night performance.
Round 1: Erick Silva starts off this fight in full Bruce Lee mode, he's all posing and doing a weird karate style stance, hands low, no fucking respect for this opponents striking. Silva lands a quick knee to the body as Fitch takes him down and quickly takes his back. Silva manages to keep both leg hooks from sinking in by leaning against the cage and wall walking to his feet but Fitch just punishes him with some punches to the face from behind. Silva manages to weather the storm but Fitch slips in a standing arm triangle attempt. Silva manages to wiggle his way free and they're back standing facing each other. Silva goes back to his open side karate stance and throws some fancy strikes at Fitch including a jumping scissor kick, Karate kid style. He does however land a remarkable overhand right to Fitch and immediately clinches him up against the cage. Silva tries to push and walk away but Fitch quickly seizes upon him and continues to clench up, they travel to the other side of the ring but Silva still maintains control of the clench. Silva lands a savage overhand elbow but Finch also manages to land a pretty clean right hook too. Both stagger away and meet up in the centre of the Octagon again for Silva to hit a glancing spinning back kick to the body. Both tie up again in another clench exchange but Finch manages to grab both of Silva's legs and take him back to the mat, Jon ends the round on Silva's back laying in with some lefts. easily Fitch's round.
Round 2: Silva enters the round more cautiously than before as he doesn't want to repeat what happened in the first round. He measures Jon a little more before going for a spinning backfist, Finch however ducks and lands a nice uppercut. Fitch lands a few more strong strikes before Silva sweeps him and takes Fitch to the ground. Silva is now in control as he works Finch's body from the ground as he tries to advances his position better. Fitch makes it to his feet, separates the hands and they're both standing once again. They get back into another clench striking exchange. Finch tries Silva up against the cage and takes for another double leg takedown but Silva slips past and takes his back. Silva trips him and gets him in a deep rear naked choke, this looks like the end of the match right here. Mike Goldberg reminds the home viewers that Jon Fitch has the best Submission defence in UFC history as he has escaped 23 submission attempts on him during his UFC Career. We then proceed to see Jon Fitch miracle his way out of a deep rear naked choke, the guy is some sort of magician to get out of it. He just works his way out of the choke, turns and mounts an exhausted Silva and just lays in him. Fitch then takes Silva's back, during the last 10 seconds of the round Fitch goes for an armbar but Silva manages to survive by pointing his thumb towards Fitch to alleviate the pressure on the elbow joint. Silva ends up on his stomach to close out the round. A stronger round from Erick Silva and I might give this one to Silva as he was in control for most of the round.
Round 3: both stagger out to eh middle, Fitch is trying to rally the crowd to get into this fight. He's staying true to his promise to try and win fight of the night. They circle each other for a bit before Jon tags him with a left jab and drags Silva to the ground. Jon just lands some brutal ground and pound on Silva from his back and seems to be softening him up for a Rear naked choke finish. Silva manages to power his way back to his feet but snaps in a front guillotine attempt on Fitch. Silva can't finish it and Fitch lands some more shots from inside Silva's guard. Jon goes again for another Rear naked choke attempt but Silva wall walks back up to his feet but Jon throws him back down to the ground and manages to flatten Silva and just rains down punches into the side of Silva's head. Fitch is exhausted but he is still landing some devastating punches while mounted on Silva. Final seconds of the match Silva tries to get back p to his feet but Fitch holds him in a front choke to end the fight. The siren sounds and the fights break away to show a dejected Erick Silva as he knows he lost his first fight in his MMA career.
Result: Jon Fitch wins by unanimous Judges decision after 3 Rounds
Short Review: Erick Silva showed a lot of inexperience with his arrogant fighting style, lost to a superior grappler in Jon Fitch on the Judges scorecard after an excellent fight of the night contest.
==============================
Fabio Maldonado took this fight on a week's notice and we have a guy who hasn't been Knocked out and is a pretty damn good boxer vs. Glover Teixeira is a straight up killer being trainned by Chuck Liddel. According to Chuck Glover is best Lightheavyweight today so the guy is a legit threat, he doesn't quite have as much weight behind his name as the other top contender fighters but it does seem like a lot of fighters don't want to get in the Octagon with him. He doesn't quite have the name to generate money for the fight even though he is a legit elite fighter but I guess that change soon enough when he start taking on real top level names, I still don't like his chances against Jones though.
Round 1: Round starts with both men standing toe to toe and exchanging shots, a nice little boxing contest. Glover tags Fabio a few times with his one two combo of right cross into a left hook and Fabio hits the mat dazed. Glover mounts Fabio and just rains down a storm of savage punches. Fabio has an exceptional chin to take this punishment but Glover locks in a deep arm triangle choke. The match seems as good as over but somehow Fabio escapes but Glover just goes back to punching his face in from the mount. Fabio is just absorbing all these punches and any normal man would've been KO'ed by the onslaught. Miraculously Fabio makes it to his feet out of the guard still swinging away like a champion. But Fabio is clearly out on his feet, he's leaning against the cage and his face is already a swollen mess. Glover is just teeing off on Fabio as the cage is literally the only thing holding Fabio up on his feet. Fabio then lands a sweet left hook on Glover and stuns him, both men stand there loopy. Fabio looks like he could pull out the surprise upset KO victory late in the round. Both still groggy Glover shoots for a takedown and Fabio defends with a guillotine as the round ends. Incredible that that fight wasn't stopped by the ref when Glover mounted Fabio, the guy really is a task to KO. Round easily to Glover but what heart from Fabio.
Round 2: Fabio is able to answer the bell and Round 2 begins with Glover just takedown Fabio immediately with a single leg. Glover steps over and lands more strikes but Fabio gets back to his feet, Glover is more aggressive with his striking as he marches forward with his punches and Fabio seems to be working for a counter hit every time Glover advances. Glover shoots for another single leg takedown and gets it, gets Fabio on the ground and just lays in more savage ground and pound, nasty elbows from top position. Fabio does his best tieing Glover up in his guard and manages to stay in the fight on his back. Minute left in the round ref stands them up and calls the doctor over to check Fabio, his face looks like it was smashed against a beehive. They check his vision to see if he can still see out of his eyes and if he even knows were he is.The doctor let's it go and the fight continues. Both men touch gloves and the fight continues, they continue with more boxing. Fabio is still trying for his sneaky counter jab but Glover just keeps springing forward at Fabio and landing some stiff left hooks. Fabio is in a lot of trouble, he keeps backing up and touching the cage, he's constantly checking his bearings, it's it literally a medical mystery how he is even on his feet at the moment. Thankfully the round ends and both commentators and everyone else are just awestruck that they made it to the end of the round.
The Round ends and Fabio gives a nod at Glover and then stumbles around trying to find his corner. As he is placed down on his corner the doctor comes over and mercifully ends the fight.
Fabio is mad that the fight got stopped but honestly there was no need to send him out to receive more punishment. After the fight Glover although completely dominante in his victory takes his hat off to Fabio Maldonado and just says "He isn't Human".
Result: Glover Teixeira wins by Ref stoppage on Doctor's advice at the end of the 2nd Round.
Short Review: Glover Teixeira beats the ever loving hell out of Fabio Maldonado for 2 full rounds until the Doctor stops the match. Fabio is inhuman, the fact that he wasn't KO'd after being punched in the face nearly 200 times is insane. That being said, Glover Taixeira is the real deal and I look forward to see him taking on Rampage Jackson in the near future.
Sidenote: I loved that Fabio came out to Rocky's theme, I'm sure someone had to have told Stallone about this dude. If there was ever evidence of a Rocky Balboa like chin it's Fabio Maldonado. If Roy Nelson ever does lose all that extra weight there would be some serious interest in a fight against Maldonado. But then again Roy has built his fanbase around his look, his heart and his skill so you know, whatever. I'd just like to see that fight.Especially if it was kept standing.
=============================
Story behind this one is juicy, Dave Herman is an young up and coming Heavyweight Contender. He's an amazing Wrestler and believes Jiu Jitsu doesn't work on him because he's never been submitted. He's claiming to keep Nogueira up off the ground to to KO the guy. Respected Veteran fighter Nogueira doesn't like how disrespectful this young punk American Wrestler is and says he'll Knock him out instead.Or you know, be the first guy to submit Herman.
This should be good one, Herman is coming off a few loses and Nogueira is returning back to the Octagon after having his wrist broken, plus the event is in Brazil, how could he say no to his country men that all love and adore Big Nog? So you know, both guys would really like a win.
Round 1: Herman scores a good take down early and works him around on the ground with some nice punches. Herman gets of Nog and they stand back up. Herman lands some nice kicks to the body until Nogueira clinches Herman against the fence and lands some strikes himself. They separate again Herman does well at keeping Nogueira at a safe distance but Nogueira manages to land a few nice shots. They go in and out of a few clinches and the round runs itself out with no real advantage to either man, I guess I'd give it to Nogueira as he landed a few more significant strikes.
Round 2: Herman starts off the round in his long rangy stance with his right arm outstretch to continue to keep Nogueira at bay until Nogueira manages to sneak a nice overhand right through the guard to stumble Herman. Big Nog manages to work Herman into an Americana Armbar attempt but Herman fights it off. Nog gets into a mount and pummels away, Herman tries to escape and gives up his back. Herman tries to roll out but Nogueira holds onto his arm and spider webs him into an armbar. Herman cleverly puts his feet onto the face of Nogueira and works his way out of the armbar attempt. Herman works his way back up to his feet and they stand again, the crowd cheer and acknowledge Herman's excellent submission defence. Herman lands another big take down and Nogueira goes for another armbar but again Herman gets back up out of the attempt. Nogueira then lands a trip take down and works into full mount position immediately. He takes Hermans arm and goes for another armbar attempt, Herman does amazingly well to defend against it and manages to twist his body out of a dangerous position but he flips himself and goes belly up and Nogueira cinches in the armbar and Herman has to concede defeat and be awarded with his first submission loss in his career.
Result 2nd Round Submission victory - 4 minutes 31 seconds via: Armbar
Short Review: Herman does amazingly well to avoid tapping out for as long as he did, Nogueira managed to land some good punishment on his feet but his Superior submission skills found their way through Herman's impressive grappling defences.
Sidenote: Good on Big Nog to get a victory in his hometown but what does this mean for Herman? this is his third loss in a row.
==============================
This really is a everything or nothing for Stephan Bonnar. He has everything to gain and nothing to lose from this match. He's facing the Greatest Fighter in the World and no one expects him to win. He was on 14 to 1 underdog going into this match. I really do wish him the best but Anderson Silva is the man, He's THE MAN. I'm expecting Silva to walk all over him after he gets a good look at his game plan then breaks him down like a computer just like that Okami fight. Anderson Silva trolls you then he beats you with some kind of bullshit space karate that Steven Seagal might have taught him.
Round 1: Stephan advances early and Silva scoots sideways and slips, Stephan presses him up against the Cage immediately starts laying in some knees to the thighs of the Spider. Someone starts chanting Bonnar bomaye! from the crowd, Famous African Ali boxing chant) which is cute. Ali seems to be the hot theme for the fight. Anderson pretty much fights off a takedown attempt against the fence. Bonnar throws in some nice dirty boxing from a high clench but Anderson still snuff out a takedown attempt again. Anderson applies a high face clench and controls Bonnar down to lower his position so he can using his leverage to change the positioning. Silva now has Bonnar up against the cage. Anderson gives up control against the cage again and fights his way out to make Bonnar separate. Then Anderson Silva starts his troll mode. He stands up against the cage and eats some hard punches from Bonnar. Silva pushes his away and Bonnar attacks again with his one, two punch combo that worked before but this time Anderson sidesteps to the right and tags Bonnar with a counter jab and almost hits with a right cross. Silva stands back up against the fence. Stephan Bonnar throws a savage spinning back kick. Anderson Silva sidesteps Bonnar hits the cage and crashes against it and Anderson Silva just stands there and stares at him. Silva gives up positioning again and after another failed strike at Silva Bonnar just lays on him against the Cage. Silva nods arrogantly with his corner reassuring them that "Yeah I got this", Silva literally doesn't care about any of the skills Bonnar is showing, except unlike Erick Silva, Anderson clearly has this. He pushes away and again and starts head bobbing and dodging Bonnar's punches, Ali style. He literally looks like he's in a movie directed by the Wakoski's. Bonnar tries to press up advancing in a high guard but Silva fends him off with some stiff elbow swings that don't quite connect but make Bonnar re-evaluate his point of attack. Bonnar then attempts to wildly swing at Silva but Silva holds him back with one hand as the other one just lands uppercuts. Just more of this humiliating approach that Anderson has taken to this fight, Joe points out that if Bonnar even stood a chance in the fight it would be if he pressed Silva up against the cage and just punches his lights out with a flurry of rights and that's what's happening and it isn't working because Anderson Silva is a far superior fighter.... fighter doesn't seem like enough of a word. He seems like he's demi god where he just fools around with Mortals. Anyway Silva works out of Bonnar's clenches tips him then bounces Bonnar against the cage and delivers just what can only be called a perfectly placed jumping knee to the solar plexus / chest. It literally looks like he collapses a lung with this knee strike. They show many different angles from the replay because that is pretty much it after that, Silva just lays on top of him as Bonnar just curls up in a ball trying to regain his breathe and probably thoughts after his whole body just shutdown. Anderson Silva wins.... Surprised?
Result: Anderson Silva wins by TKO - 4 minutes and 48 seconds via: Jumping Knee and ground punches
Short Review: Anderson Silva makes Bonnar look like a fool by standing up against the cage and letting Bonnar attack him multiple times only to eventually counter an attack into a flying knee to the chest and collapses Bonnar at the near end of the first round.
Sidenote: A Victory for Brazil
Sidenote: A little weird seeing Stephan Bonnar, a guy that has never been stopped or TKO'd before was only stopped this one time only because his body shutdown momentarily because Anderson Silva collapsed a lung. So as he laid there incapable of movement because you know, he's trying to regain his breathe after having it all knee striked out of him. Had the ref just let Anderson continue to punch Bonnar for another 12 seconds while he tries to regain his breathe it would've been interesting to see how Anderson would've stopped the fight in the second. He was playing with Bonnar after he figured him out, fair enough that Bonnar announced his retirement after this bout.
Hey if you're going to go out, Losing to Anderson Silva isn't too bad, he's the Best in the World.
Thankfully the UFC have graciously uploaded the fight that made Stephan Bonnar's career, his UFC debut along with Forrest Griffon as they fought for a UFC contract. Even though Bonnar lost the fight on a decision he still earned a Contract from the sheer will and heart he showed. He wanted to be a UFC Fighter so he could take care of himself and his wife and now that he can and he has a kid on the way, I guess any man wouldn't be too sore on themselves if they retired by losing to the Spider. What a career Stephan Bonnar.

The Weekend before Halloween I was wondering around the city and honestly there were already a bunch of young girls wearing slutty variations of costumes. Slutty Nurses, Slutty Devils, Slutty Angels. It's pretty thorough in its selection of quotes too, I honestly can't think of all that many that are missing but then again my idea of what can be considered a Great Horror is yet to be proven as an reliable opinion. The Happening was a good movie, right?

Things You Can Be On Halloween Besides Naked!
The Weekend before Halloween I was wondering around the city and honestly there were already a bunch of young girls wearing slutty variations of costumes. Slutty Nurses, Slutty Devils, Slutty Angels. International costume day really does seem to bring out the inner whore in most girls and I'm not complaining...
But these chicks are. Damn Girl Power.

CRACKED Slutty Girls in Slutty Costumes
Yes, I'm well aware I post this song every Halloween since it was made 3 years ago, I don't care it's an awesome song. Because Sluitty girls in slutty costumes will always be whorin' it up.

Song of the Day: "This is Halloween" - Panic in the Disco
Yeah I had my choice of many Halloween themed songs, this one just sprang to mind immediately and I'm going go with the gut feeling.

Je ne parle pas français, cependant J'aime cette chanson.
(I don't speak French, however I like this song.)
French rap is clearly more dignified and cultured than your country's rap.
Talent can transcend cultures and languages and I have never heard of Oxmo Puccino but this song of his called Artiste is smooth. Obviously it's supposed to be overtly Arty and dignified so the amount of booty shaking bikini women that dance for money and get champagne poured all over them is kept to a minimal.
Instead we get him pondering a thought of deep art while a really buff dude wearing lip gloss and covered in baby oil is just doing bicep curls next to him.
For the sake of being Arty and because it has a catchy sounding hook, those are my reasons Oxmo Puccino's "Artiste" is my song of the day.
YEAH! ART!

90s Sunday: "Rollercoaster" - B'witched
I have never seen the US version of this song before but this clearly a product from the 90s.
Then I realised.
I was a 90s kid and I loved the 90s music. It was a strange mix of electic music. You have Nirvana Teen Spirit right next to Aqua's "Barbie Girl" or Eminem's "Real Slim Shady". But what really ruled the 90s were the bands who weren't actually bands... bands.
N*Sync, Backstreet Boys, 5ive, Boyz 2 Men, Westlife, Take That, etc.
Various boy bands filled with a bunch of models that danced in sync. Don't bands play instruments?
It's not important any more.
Every Sunday I'm picking a song from the 90s.
1991 - 2000 (1 - 10)
B'witched's "Rollercoaster" is the song of the day for my first Ninties Sunday.
Well done you denim sporting irish cowgirls...

Mix of the Week: "Get 'em High for this" - Kanye West vs. Ellie G
I know I can be rather spotty with my Mixes of the week but this one is up there with "Something about the Fire" for my favourite mix of the year.
Combine an old Kanye track from his debut album about smoking weed and a Weeknd cover by talented British song bird Ellie Goulding and you have this absolutely magnetic track. Stoners and Potheads alike would bob their heads melodically along to this well composed mix.
It's just beautiful.
I'm going to have to rush this entry but Ellie's whaling harmony to Yeezy's rhymes really seem to compliment each other well. I guess both tracks were brilliant on their own and together they seem to create something truly special.
That's why "Get 'em High for this" is my Mix of the Week.

Song of the Day: "Fashion Monster" - Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
Don't you dare try and judge me, you know I have a particular infinity with the Japanese and their wonderfully strange culture. So you can forgive me when I present you a Japanese Tim Burton music video.
This is the latest offering from J-Pop Superstar Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. It's fast paced pop rock where everyone is dressed like a Extra from The Nightmare before Christmas. I mean just look at this thing like the spectacle that it is.
Lady Gaga ain't got shit on this level of Weirdness
The Weekly: Bill 'Ghost Bustin' Ass' Murray
Alright I haven't done a Weekly in FOREVER... or a month or two, whatever that and I missed yesterday's entry so I'm going to have to make this post extra long.
Anyway, This is an internet blog. I may as well show what I've found on the internet that doesn't really deserve it's own separate entry about it.

On a side note, I just bought Sleeping Dogs so this will probably be the last you'll hear from me for a while... The game is awesome.

Why I buy weird games
I like video games, I assumed that was obvious by now but I thought I'd reiterate this sentiment as I also share the belief that "weirdness" is essential for progress and innovation. Without gaming studios thinking outside the box we'd all be stuck with Call of Duty shooters and GTA rip offs forever. But occasionally we get those outside the box thinkers that aren't just working for a profit margain but a deeper sense of satisfaction by bringing life to something completely fresh and new.
Alright, I'll get off my sandbox.

Song of the Day: "White Dress" - Kanye West
Another entry from the Man with the Iron Fists soundtrack, this track from Kanye West seems to be a return to basics with a simple beat and sample and smooth rhymes about his future wife to be. Ms Kardasian seems to be doing some good to Yeezy (Yeah I can call him that, I'm cool enough right?)
But yes this does sound like the kind of music you would've heard on his earlier albums compared to his two latest more modern albums. 808 and Heartbreak being completely auto-tuned the entire record and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was in a sense over produced.
While this maybe a return to form for Kanye as he goes back to what made him his Millions in the first place. I'm just glad to hear a nice soulful jam from him again. Also it further convinces me that I NEED to by this Soundtrack when it comes out on October 23rd.
That's why Kanye West's "White Dress" is my song of the day.

My Favourite TF2 Machina Pieces
I've been playing a WHOLE lot of Team Fortress 2 lately. I've been trying to finish a tour on the Mann vs. Machine CO-OP mode on Expert and it's like... beating your head against a wall for hours on end trying to complete a single wave. Or it's remarkably easy depending on the skill level your team mates are on and whether you made the right choice with your weapon upgrades.
Either way, it's a tediously long wait using the server match making option and even more tedious when you fail the same wave time and time again.
Anyway, because of the upcoming 2nd annual Saxxy Awards approaching it's a good time to show my favourite TF2 machinima and fan films people have been making in honour of my current addiction.

Song of the Day: "Plumage" - Menomena
It's alright song but this music video is fantastic.
For a while music videos were a lost art form from the 80s. Back then people cared about this emerging new method of storytelling and as as an art form. Wonderfully shot and well thought out stories or ideas but played out for 3 and a half minutes that complimented the music it was representing.
Then most music channels (MTV specifically) started realising they could make more money making cheap and shallow reality television programming like the Real World and through the 90s and early 2000s music videos suffered to the point where it usually consisted of a bunch of guys standing around playing instruments, a hot girl dressed up in a fetish costume or angry black rappers flashing bling and pouring champagne on strippers.
Now thanks to Menomena they've created one of the more original music videos to come out this year. Heck this decade. (Heh that's just another year).
If I was to explain the video it would be about two men that have agreed to meet up in the desert in the afternoon for a final showdown to find out who is the ultimate badass.
Dress appropriately.

I'm currently stalking: Allie Goertz
Well not currently. Just, keeping weird tabs on a particular youtube nerd girl.
So let's look at the world of internet youtube nerd girls.
Thank you MC Chris with your Ode to the nerd girls.
I will never understand why they went with that kind of guy to be the hero in the story. I really wonder what MC Chris thought of the hero in this story. I know he's totally seen this video. The hero to your song is played by a guy with bleached tips that wears a fedora and an ascot to go out dancing with his also equally straight dance partner / best bud.
She's like the perfect day care teacher to have for a child. I would honestly trust her raising children with whimsical ukulele music and stories about sunshine and happiness.
If her career didn't take off in Hollywood Zooey Deschanel probably could've made a living being a hyper adorable quirky youtube girl.
There is something a little more honest to the simple YouTube format of a single person and a camera. No fancy editing, no lights, just raw talent.
Allie Goertz has been brought up a few times on this and my previous Blog, she's amazing. She's smart and she's a legit nerd girl as far as I can tell.
She makes Wonderful music, just Wonderful. They're cleverly written and filled with word play, she also has a heavenly voice. I'm sure all of this will be used as evidence in a restraining order in the future, but I don't care.
Recently she asked the internet for a little help to get her started on a lifelong dream I assume she and many people have had.
Thanks with the help of the internet she is now able to afford some recording studio time to help her release a new album due to the contributions from her youtube followers.

Oh Allie how I wish you best for your music career, may your beautiful nerdiness help you climb to dizzying heights and maybe one day I'll hear one of your songs on the radio.
Or maybe even on the Nerdist Podcast.

Song of the Day: "Baddest Man Alive" - The Black Keys / RZA
Listen to this song man, MAN! MAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!
This is just raw animalistic swagger music. The kind of music you'd want blasting as you kicking down the door to the meanest bar in town. I guarantee there will be a scramble amongst UFC Fighters to be the first to walk out to this song.
This song is too damn good and if this whole Man with the Iron Fists movie tanks, they'll probably make a substantial amount from the STACKED Soundtrack. Hell I think I'll choose a track from the album the song of the day for the next week and bit. It's that damn good.
But you know... You should probably at least see the trailer for the aforementioned movie to know what to expect from the rest of the Soundtrack.
RZA makes his own movie then writes a kickass tune with the Black Keys, that dude is winning at life right now.

Oh, The Places you'll go
I just found out about Teddy Saunders and his wonderful film work. Creator of TedShots he has made some beautiful poetic video performances like the inspiring rendition of Dr. Seuss's "Oh, The place you'll go".
But that isn't the only poetry Ted has adapted into a multi-read rendition on the internet. Recently he created a new video about the wonders of what it is like to be a kid. An original piece created by the man himself and it really does make me wish for a world with more child like wonder and motivations. It's comforting to say the least.
Yes, I'm sure you feel sufficently whimsical about children and their wonderful fantasty worlds they live in before Life drains the innocence and fun out of them.
Anyway, Ted's working on a new project called DreamBox.
Check it out, it's pretty interesting. The idea of creating a vlog tent where people come in a tell everyone about their dreams.
Find out more at their KickStarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/teddy/the-dream-box
Song of the Day: "I'll Take You There" - Easy Access Orchestra
Portlandia is a sketch comedy show based around the City of Portland, Oregon. The first episode of Portlandia stars Jason Sudakis as a cult leader Aliki that is irresistibly charming in such a way that people seem to put under hypnotic trances of bliss whenever they talk to him.
This song is always playing when people gaze upon Aliki.
This heavenly melodic groove that sounds like a Beatles acid trip. It's just so calming its hurt not to instantly fall for Aliki.
It's next to impossible to find a place to download a high quality version of this song. It doesn't seem to be listed anywhere on iTunes under The Easy Access orchestra. Other sources have calmed that the band's name is Dust.
Either way, thanks to Portlandia I was introduced to a wonderful new song.

It starts here...
Alright.
So I've been slacking on this blog thing. I was going to tell myself I would write in it everyday. So here is a simple challenge I will now set.
I must post at least 500 words a day for the next 30 days. Let's call this a month of continuous chatter, there will be a lot of garbage and maybe an actual post worth reading once in a while.
Who knows.

Song of the Day: "Gold Dust" - DJ Fresh
I don't know about you but this song gets me amped up like a chem-fiend fixing to score some Turbo. (I've gone back to Fallout New Vegas, need to finish Old World Blues).
Show me your moves...

Song of the Day: "Skyfall" - ADELE
It came out a few days ago in a trailer and it already has 14 Million seperate views on YouTube. This is a throwback to those old grand sounding Bond themes that Shirley Bassey sang on the movies 'Diamonds are Forever' and 'Moonraker'.
Nice to have back to those old grand sounding pieces rather than the weird contemporary rock they had Jack White and Alicia keys compose last time around. If we're going back to old school Bond stories where he is just a man with a gun then a traditional approach to the theme seems sensible.
Although if interrupted incorrectly the future Bond Movies with his new space age gadgets will probably end up being dubstep.
(All the other Bond themes to date)
Are we really ready for a dubstep Bond theme though?
Meaning of Life
What is the Meaning of Life?
A question asked many times by many great people long before you and I could comprehend. Humanity as a whole has been burdened with the gift of a higher plane of thought and intelligence naturally required to live in their world. We've become comfortable to the point where we can just sit there and ponder our own existence.
If I look it up in at dictionary.com defines life as...
Then of course there is the smart ass answer from the popular book series, Hitchhiker's Guide.
Ugh, that just reminds me that I need to catch up the Hitchiker's Guide Series, I'm only half way through The Restaurant at the end of the Universe (Book 2). Yeah yeah, don't yell at me, I'll get on it now. I had no idea there were actually 6 of these books now....
The 6th written by Eoin Colfer after the original 5 that Douglas Adams wrote. So yeah know, I've done the appropriate research. (Read the Wikipedia article).
I'll finish this post on a later date... Maybe.

Life: noun
1. - the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.
2. - the sum of the distinguishing phenomena of organisms, especially metabolism, growth, reproduction, and adaptation to environment.
3. - the animate existence or period of animate existence of an individual: to risk one's life; a short life and a merry one.
4. - a corresponding state, existence, or principle of existence conceived of as belonging to the soul: eternal life.
5. - the general or universal condition of human existence: Too bad, but life is like that.

Song of the Day: "Cherry Wine" - Nas ft. Amy Winehouse
I was never really a fan of Amy Winehouse's music, I knew the lady could sing but I dunno her soulful sad music about chemical dependency and addiction just didn't tickle my fancy.
This mix that Nas has gotten behind is smooth, just smooth. It uses this breezy beat mixed with Winehouse's sultry vocal hook. It's like a song from a totally different era, something you'd hear in a movie from yesteryear where the protagonist is listening to jukebox while smoking a cigar while playing a game of cards with a table of strangers.
Anyway, this is my song of the day.
Thought of the moment
I know I don't really update this blog as much as I should but I guess I can come here and throw some random thoughts out in the internet without any real threat of a thought out and well structured rebuttal. I can't exactly throw deep thoughts out in Facebook or Twitter all too often, people will just start act suspiciously and assume you're stealing other people's thoughts and work.
I was looking over some old footage of me on my video archives on my computer, everyone like to take stupid home videos of themselves. Sadly I pursued a career in acting before I realised I lacked the seriousness required to deliver lines meaningfully and with purpose rather than just trying to solicit laughter from the audience. They told me I was preforming rather than acting, which kinda hurt but I have come to terms with the fact that I would rather preform than act.
I would just like to ask you fine reader one question.
Have you ever watched footage of you in an a heated argument or just obscenely angry?
What did you think of that part of yourself? What did you think of this side of you that you sometimes can't control? A seemingly unnatural state see oneself in.
When I saw footage of myself, I hated that part of me... But there really isn't anything I can do about it besides keep it in check and bring it out when required.

Song of the Day: "Winging it" / "Naughty Girl" - Chris Lilley
This was a promo song Chris recorded many years ago for MSN.com. Do you remember the original MSN commercials? Back when MSN Messenger was a new thing and slow as hell. Back when we had poorly supervised public chat rooms frequented by paedophiles and perverts.
Chris Lilley, winner of the Graham Kennedy Award and intentionally acclaimed Comedic actor made a song in Butterfly costume.
Then he got funding for his other crazy ideas and he made this catchy number about Highschool drug use.... AWESOME!
Wilfred - The Tropfest Shortfilm that could
I completely forgot that this was a Tropfest Finalist. I've been watching Tropfest every year for the past 6 years down at the Sydney Domain.
later it got a sponsorship deal from SBS and was given 16 episodes before being bought out by the IFC (International Film Channel) and are now rebroadcasting it in America. My how far this short film has come.
Wilfred is the kind of show that'll make it okay to tell a story about a Cat and a Dog love story in adult sized costumes.
It's probably the first syndicated furry sitcom. Yeah I'm going to call it on that, the Power Rangers don't count.
But the strangest thing besides the people in the animal costumes is how genuine the acting and emotions are. It's not done ironically, it's a purposeful way of making the show more relatable.
YEAH I LIKE A SHOW ABOUT FURRIES!!!
YEAH, GET MAD INTERNET!
That's a pretty damn good death scene.
The American version stars Elijah Wood as the guy that sees Wilfred (You know that dude that played Frodo) and funnily enough James Gann reprises his role as Wilfred. The American remake isn't bad but it is different. Wilfred is the only furry on the show, he is a figment of Ryan's sub conscious imagination and it focuses on what Wilfred represents. So we don't really get any character development and lessons of growth with Wilfred, it's all up to Elijah Wood, who is of course easily quite up to the task of being the emotional outlet and the straight man to Gann's crazy Stoner dog antics.
So to sum it up.
The Australian Series is darker and has growth for both main characters, The American one is better structured and more focused on the Human character development. Yep, that's the difference in Stoner Comedies about Talking Dogs between America and Australia apparently.
I guess that's what Americanised means...
And you wonder how they could've possibly Americanised Kath and Kim?
Yes America, Except our shitty culture of Bogan Women and potheads that talk to dogs.
Did Chris Lilly's Summer Heights High rate well in America?
Eh, I'll stop talking now.

Song of the Day: "Semi Charmed Kinda Life" - Third Eye Blind
Well, I'm sure everyone knows this song is about doing Meth.
It really is.
I can't believe a song with lyrics this saucy made it to the pop charts. This song was the backing music to many shopping montages in mainstream movies in the 90's. At least any scene that involved playfully running around a mall anyway.
The last thing you'll see for the next year
I'm hooked, so hooked that I already have withdrawal. I love Breaking Bad that much that it itself is as good as Heisenberg's sweet crystal candy. I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Breaking Bad is as good as Meth.
And my meth is only brought to me by that genius, Vince Gilligan. I always loathe seeing his genius name pop on television. BECAUSE IT MEANS BREAKING BAD IS OVER FOR THE WEEK!
How can a show be this good?
It's like a steady drug he's been feeding us and now we have to wait a whole year for the final 8 episodes. Hey I was stoked to hear that Breaking Bad got 16 episodes for it's final season but weary about it splitting that final season.
But seriously, if you aren't watching Breaking Bad.
GOOD!
Because if you were to start now, you'd having withdrawal like me within weeks.

Song of the Day "Select my name" Rhianna Super Mario Remix
I guess this is just a Rhianna "What's my name" song with the backing track replaced with the calming pan flute select screen of Super Mario 64. It really does put one's soul at ease. It's just a nice little tune mixed with some Rhianna's special brand of clubslut music.
I told you I'd start disappointing you with some of these.
This is the reason why I love Persona 4 the animation
Now really. How can you argue against this?
"I'm going to save this Girl!" Said the Evil kidnapper
"Fuck You!" (is the response from the usually) Silent Protagonist/Yu.
After playing the actual game 3 times through. This animation is a to the letter complete translation of this ridiculous game into an animation series.
The story of the game is based around you a 2nd year in Japanese highschool (Year 11, I assume) transfer student spending a year with your recently widowed Uncle who is a hardass detective and his sad and lonely little daughter. You will attend highschool with a bunch of other awkward teenage stereotypes because they will come in handy when you go out INVESTIGATING A STRING OF MYSTERIOUS MURDERS BY JUMPING INTO TELEVISIONS. This game is about a bunch of teenagers that have superpowers in a world they enter after jumping into television screens.
They were all drawn together by the Midnight Channel.
The coolest concept of the game. Urban legend says that if you stare into a off television set on a rainy night, at midnight your soul mate will appear on the screen.
You will see your soul mate. That's enough to hook most people. It's the "Interesting... Go on" moment of the description.
This Classic Japanese Teenage Murder Mystery where we all learn about friendship and life lessons. There is the quiet mousey girl that runs a family hot spring inn, the loud in your face girl that is a Kung Fu Expert and loves Steak, the insecure tough guy that beat up a gang of bikers because they were keeping his mum up at night, the weird perverted one, the teen bikini model / movie star / television personality that is on hiatus, the young ace detective (That cross dresses), etc. etc.
That is essentially the idea of the show.
It has taken playing a JRPG dungeon crawl game. The fighting system in this game was no more than a guessing game until you found out what the opponents weaknesses were that you found your ideal persona elemental attack with everyone in the group and just running with whichever Persona hit hardest or was most effective. Sidenote: Some of those Gods are Awesome and some are strange as all hell. The Death God of Alice just terrorises me.
Look it's like Poke'mon, but instead of holding animated toy animals it was based around ancient gods of multiple new and old mythology gods and Japanese folk law spirits and you somehow made more powerful ones depending on your friendships with people in real life, which was told out in a tarot card system. This game was deep. Plus it taught me what each Tarot card vaguely means when drawn. Drawing a card upside is considered bad, except the card of Death. The card of Death when drawn means you either lose all of your health points or all your "spirit" points. You would then be kicked out of the dungeon.
So yeah, if you don't have time to play a long as fuck game.
Watch this 25 episode anime. That's like. 8.4 hours. People can stretch that over a week or two. (Yes I'm telling you how to time manage this, you are watching Japanese cartoons)

Song of the Day: "She Blinded me with Science" - Thomas Dolby
Yeah I got nothing. This new wave one hit wonder by Thomas Dolby from the 80s is the first thing that came to my head when I thought about Songs about Science.
Well this and everything Jonathan Coulton.
Science.... Bitch!
In celebration for finding the Higgs Bison particle (Which I think I kinda get). It explains a whole lot of shit about how particles form mass. (Right?) The Mars Curiosity Rover landing on Mars. And I dunno, Breaking Bad.
Today is about Science... BITCH
Ooooooh Mars. You bewitching devil you.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of my favourite people on this silly planet.
He's just some famous dude that loves Science.
He's a famous astrophysicist that goes around acting as a scientific communicator to the public. Some of his interviews on Colbert and the Daily Show are amazingly enlightening. Whether it's discussing the latest space mission or the God Particle, Neil is an absolute fountain of scientific knowledge.
In fact it's in the pipeline for Neil to recreate Carl Sagan's famous Cosmos series, I've watched it recently and my favourite piece that Carl shot was him explaining alternative dimensions.
Hold onto your Brain, it gets a little crazy here...
Okay so after your brain is all nice and fucked after contemplating this 4th dimension without the aid of some kind of psychedelic. Clean up your nose bleed and push on.
this basically makes Paper Mario the best game, ever.
Some kind of super being that can break a dimensional wall at will. They could literally throw him into what would consider Fort Knox. Nothing going in or out, just full lockdown. Hell it could just be a Square and Super Paper Mario would just turn 3D of walk all over their silly paper asses... just walk out of jail. We are completely limited to our senses that can only perceive 3 dimensions. Anyone that can travel in 4 dimensions is looking at all the people in Prison and just screaming, JUST STEP INTO ANOTHER DIMENSION AND WALK OYT!!!
If you have never played a Paper Mario Game, please try and make it this one if you ever do. I know you're busy but it's a freaking masterpiece of a game.
Anyway, BACK TO SCIENCE!!!
Chris Hardwick's Nerdist brand seems to be slowly taking over the World. With his Podcast empire, YouTube channel, Television show and Nerdist online community the geeky world of science and knowledge and come into style. The latest episode of the Nerdist TV Show on BBC America celebrated the World of Science coincidently enough.
Also Bill Nye the Science Guy will have his own series on the Nerdist YouTube channel, teaching you awesome things like... Tying a Bow Tie.
Just to round things out, Here is a song from the Symphony of Science. "We are Stardust"
Well that's enough Science for today, maybe I"ll make another Science post in the future. Who knows. But remember... Keep watching the Skies.

Mix of the Week: Unusual Uhn Tiss - Britney Spears vs Bloodhang Gang
Well... I just picked a remix of two of my favourite songs. Yes I do like this Britney Spears song. I blame Heavy Rain, I found it through watching a lot of Madison movies. Yes the chick in the game where you have an interactive shower scene... I've clearly revealed too much.
That and Bloodhood Gang's "Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss" is one hell of a smooth jam, that Bassline is killer. But I will assume most people won't get past the fact that I enjoy Britney Spear's music occasionally. Well prepare to be disappointed in my taste in music all through the week.
Don't you dare judge me.
Japanese Movie of the Week: Machine Girl
Now you know what I think of Japan, it's weirdly awesome. They just have a higher tolerance to weird stuff then anyone else on Earth. It's because of that tolerance to strange stuff that they are able to make a film like this.
She creates Machines guns from her Butt.
God I love the Internet... and Japan.

Usain Bolt - Fastest Man Alive
Alright, time to talk about the Olympics... well that one event that everyone watched
He has retained his title as World's Fastest man after winning Gold at the London 2012 Olympics with the time of 9.63 seconds for the 100m sprint.
He is still the best at throwing his body through space unassisted better than any other man on earth. He holds the World and Olympic Records for it and is just now considered one of the Greatest Athlete's of all time as he joins a very short-list of people that have won the 100m twice.
Usain Bolt is a genetic marvel, just built to run like some kind of human rocket. It almost seems like he can break the matrix if he can go any faster. He's basically the most famous Jamaican since Bob Marley, except he seems more like a Superhero then a visionary artist. So for now we'll just dub him the Jamaican Lightning Bolt.
Here is the Steve Porter remix "Faster than Lightning" to show how focused an determined one has to be to become World's Fastest Man. Also the dude has some pretty sweet dance moves and an awesome pose to go along with it.
He's also a real classy guy. Whether this is to garner favour from future sponsors or if he was just genuinely raised to respect other cultures and nations, it's still a great thing to see in the Olympics.

Song of the Day: "Dancing Queen" - Jimmy Barnes
A while ago I was given a lift to a party by my friend Road Warrior Antony. He had this amazing compilation CD of Triple M's Musical Challenges. The CD was essentially Andrew Denton getting musicians on his morning radio show to cover songs from a different genre of music.
I will NEVER forget hearing Jimmy Barnes covering ABBA's Dancing Queen. He took this feel good disco dance tune about a young and free spirited woman and turned it into this heart pub rock anthem. Jimmy Barnes has a freaking manly voice, Just powerful vocals.
I've now taken to the idea of singing Dancing Queen at Karaoke, but done in a manly fashion like Jimmy Barnes. There is something oh so satisfying about screaming "YOU CAN DANCE, YOU CAN JIVE, HAVING THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE" in the gruffest and manliest voice I can muster.

Let's Travel Around the Internet: "The Weekly"
Yeah okay I know I'm supposed to do this internet fishing contest for the week every week but dammit I've got better things to do the spend time on the internet. That's what Heroin Skyrim is for. Seriously if you want to kick a bad habit, replace it with something that is worse but a little more socially acceptable. Like a gaming addiction. Skyrim has already ruined many lives, just like the previous Elder Scrolls Titles like Morrowind and Oblivion.
Ugh, Steam Sales have robbed me of my outside life. Max Payne Multiplayer (Which is fun as hell, even if you suck like me at shooting games / I have dogshit for eyesight so my entire load out is Shotguns and Grenades)
Anyway... Shut Up. HERE'S WHAT I SAW ON THE INTERNET IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS!!
==========================
Speaking of Max Payne:
Max Payne 3
Giving it up to this film-maker from Melbourne who made this hilarious tie in video parody to the release of Max Payne 3.
Also enjoy these two playing Max Payne
==========================
Skyrim
Damn Steam, selling Skyrim at 50%... God dammit, Game is too good. How dare you.
I've sunk 55 hours now into Skyrim. I've just gotten to the Greybeard's Temple. I didn't even know about some kind of ULTIMATE DRAGON! (But I always assumed). Anyway, relevant to my interests... How Skyrim should've ended.
My favourite moment so far in Skyrim was the random encounter event with the Old Orc. This Orc comes up to you while you wonder the fields of Skyrim and asks you if you can provide him with a Good Death. It's a rather poignant moment when the person you're trying to kill is only doing so so he can have an honourable death and go out on his Shield.
(Not going to lie, First time I encountered him he kicked my ass. Second time I was more prepared for his Barbaric Onslaught)
Can't have a Skyrim Post without this

ImprovEverywhere Mp3 Experiment 9
Again the crew from ImprovEverywhere collect more people every year for their Mp3 experiment to act like assholes in public.

The Real Reason to Learn Chinese
To learn what all those cuss words mean... And I guess to better acquaint yourself with an impending superpower.

Michelle Jenneke's Awesome Pre Race Warm Up
Thank you internet Perverts... Thank you for filming women's athletes for inappropriately long periods of time then making something like this. And THank you Michelle Jenneke... For being you. You're pretty awesome.
I honestly don't think I could run 100m in 13.2 seconds, especially with Hurdles in the damn way.

The World is full of Stupid / Amazing People
Whether you like in the United States
Chile
India
or Russia
You'll find complete lunatics all over this wonderful world.

Japanese Soft drink commercial.
No one is Crazier than Japan those though, this is an ad that ran in Japan years ago for a popular soft drink. Just guess before watching it, I'll give you a hint. The main focus of this ad is watching a crab woman terrorising a japanese highschool.
==========================
Japanese Battle Robot Suit
Also this is in Japan, They honestly live 20 years into the future over there. This is some cartoon level engineer sorcery here. Japan just seems more and more like a make believe place on the internet these days.
==========================
Expendibles the Musical
Well, I dunno, it's got more more excited for this silly movie more than any of its trailers have. You gotta love the line "PG-13 is for Pussies" though, if that were the real slogan on the movie poster I would honestly just surrender my money in advance and pre-order a ticket to the Midnight screening.
==========================
Matt Watson, World's manliest Fisher
This is how a fucking man fishes, Jumps out of a Helicopter and tackles a Marlin.
