The Male Host of the Australian Channel 9 Morning show TODAY and voted Favourite Australian Television personality in 2011 is none other than Karl Stefanovic. Infamous nation and virally worldwide with his absurd antics and behaviour on air Karl is a true blue example of the Australian Larrikan way of life. Why was this man awarded with the Gold Logie in 2011? Well for one thing, he gets drunk off his face at the Logies and then hosts a Morning show the next morning with next to no sleep and still slightly inebriated.





That kind of behaviour isn't one off too. Karl's vibrant personality is a staple of the TODAY show as he often engages in somewhat crude and depraved banter with his co-hosts and reporters. His off the cuff remarks are hilarious that there is just no possible way anyone would script them. But not to give him too much credit his team also share in the jokes just to make Waking up a little more bearable.



He also tells awkward jokes to important religious figures...



Now normally due to my woeful sleeping pattern I don't usually get up early enough to watch the TODAY show. But thanks to the YouTube user of 'dnp52td' they constantly collect and cut together all the best bits of the show for everyone the world over to see. It's good that there is a consistent stream of Stefanovic entering the Cyber world every month.

Smoking Section: Scare Tactics

Now everyone these days knows that Smoking kills. Because of that smoking companies for years have been swaying the opinions of people to shine a less negative light on smoking and promote it as a stress reliever or social activity or just something awesome people do after doing something awesome... like, I dunno having sex.

But there is no denying how smoking has extremely detremental affects on the human body. There have been many campaigns worldwide trying to combat the dangers of smoking but I don't think any other country takes it quite as far and as seriously as Australia. (Yay, we're good at another thing. Australian anti smoking campaigns are legendary for its blunt and graphic exhibitions of smoking related diseases.

If running commercials like that wasn't enough the Australian government has been putting these extremely graphic images on the cigarette packets since 2005 trying to warn people about the dangers of smoking... or if you ask me, Scaring people into quitting.

Apparently kids have made collecting cigarette packets for their graphic pictures a thing. I hear the Baby one is the "rarest" of the bunch. Which is such a cute kid thing to do, then again I do realise that there are a bunch of kids out there that are smoking themselves. One person I know actually started smoking at the age of 11. I didn't really take that information very well, I'm pretty sure I acted like an elitist jerk upon finding out.

I do however love it when tourists and foreign visitors come to Australia and openly comment about how horrifying these packets our whenever I'm outside a pub with one having a social smoke. Of course to which most Australians just respond with a bored and unaffected tone as we're use to seeing these graphic images daily and it's just become normal to be constantly reminded of these potentially grotesque side effects.

Smokers know Smoking is bad for them, but the examples they show are so extreme that they're well aware that the ones documented and exploited are sensationalised to shock people. Not every smoker ends up looking like a rotting zombie corpse. Ny Grandmother was 91 and she was a chain smoker and she looked absolutely radiant in her casket.... yes the crazy old bat had an open casket funeral. Ugh, just thinking of her cold still body still haunts me to this day.

Hey... I was 7 when I saw her body, That kind messed me up. More than any anti smoking campaign could ever do.

Normally I'm very critical of Australian television or movie productions. But DEAR GOD have the fine crew of South Australian production company Dinosaur worldwide have produced what can possibly described as the most awesome Australian Television series since... uhhh.... Life Support? Does anyone else remember Life Support?






Its a joke on shows like Better Homes & Gardens, Healthy Wealthy & Wise and various other lifestyle shows that were the rage in the 90s

Anyway, keep your damn calender clear for The 27th...

Also I recommend the work that got them this television deal in the first place. Italian Spiderman. Made 3 year ago they made a trailer for a film school project they were then given a grant by the South Australian Film Society to make more content. Here is the First episode of the ten part series.



But that is so 3 years ago, hell they were even featured on A Current Affair for their work. I for one whole heatedly support Dinosaur Worldwide and will go out of my way to spread the word of Danger 5. Also for the 5 people that read this blog occasionally, you should do the same too. In the meantime they have posted the first episode of Danger 5: The Diamond Girls.
