Song of the Day "Locomotive Curt" - Locomotive Curt

What?

This is hilarious. This fat little bastard has some fucking style to pull this kind of shit off. I'm down with this kid's attitude, it literally looks like he could care less what you thought about him, JUST GET OUT OF HIS WAY BITCH!!!

I don't have a good reason to like this song, it's just funny to me and that's why Locomotive Curt is my song of the day.

Song of the Day: "Bitch Bad" - Lupe Fiasco

Now it isn't unusual for Rappers to use their musical medium to get up onto a Soapbox and vent their grievances with the state of the world and society in general I think Lupe has done an excellent job in articulating the way women are depicted in popular culture. The lack of self respect famous female artist portray is detrimental to the youth of today and hopefully with this video Lupe can promote awareness and more importantly self respect.

Bitch Bad, Woman Good. Not the most elegant statement but simple and effective enough to teach people and more importantly children about the importance of self esteem and respect.

The song has an great message and a smooth beat and that's why "Bitch bad" by Lupe Fiasco is my Song of the Day.

Sleeping Dogs Review Round-Up and GTA 5 Trailer 2 Impressions

Well there it is, the latest trailer for GTA 5 and we are introduced to the 3 playable characters for this chapter of the Bench mark in immersive sandbox gaming, Grand Theft Auto V (They're continuing on with the Roman numeral thing, heh Roman).

While the game doesn't so much Gameplay if any at all but it does so a lot of exposition and the backgrounds of Trevor, Michael and Franklin. The 3 criminals the player will be controlling and switching between as they explore Los Santos and various surrounding areas (Fictional Los Angelos and South California) with a World Map touted to be bigger and more expansive then the past 4 Rockstar Titles combined.

Well I know I'm now looking forward to what Rockstar can deliver after what we got with Sleeping Dogs.

Song of the Day: "Idiot Boyfriend" - Jimmy Fallon

I'm starting to be won over with Jimmy Fallon, at first I wasn't pleased that he took The Late Show from Conan, even though the idea of network television corporate decisions shouldn't be such a major factor when deciding the worth of someone. But I remember that Jimmy Fallon has made laugh before.

Seriously, Idiot Boyfriend is a genius song. I can't help but laugh every time I watch it. I don't know if any of these examples are actual things he's done or witnessed but some of these lyrics and examples of idiocy described are hilarious.

Also strange seeing a younger, blonder Zooey Deschanel that I'm use to seeing now...

Then again at no point was she being quirky and loud so I dunno if she just went crazy in his early thirties.

Anyway, this song is funny and funky as hell and that's why Late Night Host Jimmy Fallon's song "Idiot Boyfriend" is my song of the day.

Movember Motivatation from the Mo' Master

I'm not sure if I mentioned before but I am doing movember this year, sure I promise a picture at the end of this. The best thing is though, my moustache is already pretty full so it doesn't actually look all that bad right now.

But You'll have to see it in all it's glory at the end of the month. Also FYI I actually had to trim it so it would come in more evenly, the sides were coming in too thick last week so I had to trim them down. I will have a decent moustache to show for my efforts. Whatever money I sollict from people at the end of the month when I walk around with a tin I will then match then just donate to the cause.

Prostate Cancer Sucks, we should definetly fund that research.

Anyway, here's the original Message from Nick Offerman about the Movember Moustache tradition.

Dream Diary - The Ocean

I remember sharing this made up sook story on Facebook on a page about nightmares, half of this is true. You half to guess which parts are real.

I had a dream last night where I was swimming in a harbour...

The ocean was a wonderful crisp and clear baby blue, the sun was out and it was just a magnificent day. No idea how I got there, seemed like God had dropped me in the vast ocean but I was surrounded by friends and family.

After swimming around whenever I saw a landmark and then tried to swim over to it just got further away and I ended up where I started from. I felt helpless as other people beside me swam away to these fantastic and interesting looking places.

After a while I was alone and the Ocean became darker and steadily started freezing, I felt its icy grasp and all the warmth was absorbed out of my body. I woke up and just started weeping.

So yeah, take a guess... which parts I dreamt and which parts I add to make the story more interesting.

Song of the Day: "Misread" - Kings Of Convenience

In the early 2000's I use to buy a ton of cheap alternative easy listening CD's at pawn stores, that's was the only real way I could find any good folk music before Spotify and other internet music services. I found many great songs and I look into my Easy listening archive and pull out a favourite track from Norwegian duo, Kings of Convenience.

I haven't heard any other tracks from them but this beautiful bouncy jazzy tune really does put me at ease. It's like a pleasant stroll through the park... It has this strange affect on me like everything feels familur and safe.

So because of all that, that's why "Misread" by the Kings of Convenience is my Song of the day.

Get in my Guard Bro

A martial art based around effective group grappling, sounds silly fighting on the ground. But rolling around and putting people in triangles is all the rage now. Didn't you know?

Brazilian Jui Jitsu has recently received a noticeable rise in popularity all thanks to the UFC. Gyms all over the world seem to be full of guys learning the ground grappling art. I don't know about you but I never use to hear about people getting put into Armbars, now it just seems it happen every weekend.

Now I can understand the interest and rise in popularity, guys want to know that the self defence they know it applicable to the streets and multiple scenarios rather than just in the gym. The Effectiveness of BJJ in the UFC was just the exposure the art needed.

If it continues to go this way BJJ might become an official Olympic sport like other forms of self defence which include Boxing, Judo, Wrestling and Tae Kwon Do.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has become so popular even the Simpsons have recently made a joke on it. Now Fall atop me and face your doom!

But to be honest, the amount of UFC fanboys that are learning Jui Jitsu is worrying. I mean I'm bad enough as it is, could you imagine more guys like this in the World?

Seriously bro, Get in my Guard...

Song of the Day: "Remind Me" - Röyksopp

[Album Mix]

There are two versions of this song. The album mix and the video mix. I love the video of this song but I like the album mix better than the video mix. So someone was savvy enough to put the slower and more peaceful album mix over the beautifully made and designed info graph that is the "Remind me" music video.

From explaining the water cycle to underground transportations systems this video clip is like they've looked at everyone's daily life's and just cut everything in half and explains to the audience how everything works. It's just a nice smooth jam and the video clip really adds to the it.

This song was stuch in my head while I was writing the UFC rundown as I tried to remind myself to keep typing and to listen to some good music to help pass the time. That's why Röyksopp's "Remind Me" is the song of the day.

UFC 153: Anderson Silva to the Rescue

UFC 153:
October 13th, 2012
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Alright we were supposed to get a whole different card with many match-ups falling through because of so many of the Fighters getting injured. But they make up for it by having Anderson Silva jump up in weight divisions to take on the American Psycho. Stephan Bonnar. A guy who has yet to be stopped or KO'd in the UFC.

This is Stephan Bonnar's dream match, to try and take down the top dog in the UFC. The guy they consider the Greatest Fighter in the World. This is a dream match for any fighter to face the Best in the World, your career will change overnight if you manage to beat him.

So you know, I'm interested to see if Bonnar can do it, or if it'll just be a total shut out and Anderson will make him look like a fool. Anderson Silva has a skill of making people look stupid. He made Sonnen look like a fucking moron after he went for a spinning back fist.

Alright let's get this started from the beginning, this should fun giving my rundown of the UFC 153 as a fight fan. This should be enough words to fill my 500 a day quota that missed this week.Besides, I'm going to UFC nerd out all over this, this is some weird MMA fanboy nonsense being posted on the internet... Enjoy

[Welterweight Bout]- Damien Maia vs. Rick "Horror" Story

We got an American Wrestler / Striker (Rick Story) vs. a Guerrilla Brazilian Ju Jitsu Blackbelt (Damien Maia)

Round 1: Damien scores an early front single leg takedown and then Just textbook Jiu Jitsu as he starts advancing his position as soon as he scores the take down. Damien works his way up and onto Rick's back while landing some punches from side guard. He slips both leg hooks in and goes for the Rear naked choke finish. He can't get the choke(slip his hand under his chin) so he just squeezes his skull until he shoots blood out of his nose. That's fucking insane! first round submission victory to Damien Maia.

Brazilians home crowd go insane for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu victory.

Result: Damien Maia wins by a first Round Submission - 2 min 31 sec Via: Rear Naked Choke / Neck Crank

Short Review: Damien Maia takes Rick Story down early and using his sjiu jitsu ninja's his way into a rear naked choke in 2 and a half minutes. Even though he couldn't quite get the choke he changes it to a nasty neck crank, blood shot out of Rick's nose and he just had to tap after that. Totally insane.

Sidenote: If you are a student of BJJ it is probably a good idea to study this fight and try and see how to advance your position from a from front single leg take down into and advance into a rear naked choke position. See if you can do it in under 3 minutes on a highly skilled Wrestler.

Impressive fight domination from Damien Maia.

=================

[Lightheavyweight Bout] - Phil "Mr. Wonderful" Daves vs. Wagner Prado

Good Lord Wadnger Prado looks like a fucking scary Brazilian man. He's also the first fighter to successfully retrieve his hat from a fan during his entrance walk out. Phil Davis looks like a cartoon character as Joe Rogan has pointed out numerous times before. Also just quietly, I'm a huge fan of that Joe Rogan Podcast.

Alright so got a Supreme Wrestler that seems to always improving vs. a scary fight ending motherfucker of a muay thai striker. So how you got?

Round 1: Anyway this match starts off with a simple exchange where Davis just ducks under a punch from Prado and takes him down. He take just holds him to the ground and just beats him up for a while. Prado gets back to his feet but Davis mediately drops down, picks him up and executes a mean lifting double leg takedown. Drives him head first into the mat, just a beautifully brutal take down. Davis continues to land major significant strikes on the ground, Prado then works his way back up after being beaten up for a bit and then he gets thrown backwards back onto the mat and he's there until the round ends basically. Davis clearly won that round with his superior grappling and wrestling.

Round 2: After a long feeling out process again Davis jumps at Prado with a Flying knee then drops down for another take down attempt. Davis doesn't take him down immediately but he works him there. Again more powerful ground strikes while Davis maintains the dominant top position. Prado works his way back up and they separate but Davis gets him back down with an impressive take down take Prado actually blocked buy Davis worked around it and just took him down anyway. Just impressive Wrestling. He eventually works his way into an Arm triangle and the match looks as good as done. But Prado gets out but Davis just does this fucking beautiful move. He gets him in a front headlock and drags him down to the ground and does this move called a 'gator roll' where he spins them using his own body weight into a better position to get him into a Anaconda Choke Tap Out.

Brazilian crowd who were silent during most of the fight but acknowledge Phil's skill and cheer his victory politely.

Result: Phil Davis wins by a 2nd Round Submission - 4 minutes 29 seconds Via: Anaconda Choke

Short Review: Wrestler (Phil Davis) Slams Muay Thai Striker (Wagner Prado) multiple times then uses an Awesome Anaconda choke to finish it in the 2nd. Phil Davis is a contender and is always improving, Impressive Submission Wrestling victory from Mr. Wonderful.

=============================

[Welterweight Bout] - Erick Silva vs. Jon Fitch

Erick Silva is entering the fight with a 3 match winning streak, that's how many fights he's had in the UFC and he's never had a match go past the First round. He's ended all his previous fights with his flashy striking game, Jon Fitch is really an experienced fighter that really needs a win to stay contracted or at least financially afloat. it seems Jon doesn't seem to be getting many sponsorships or just interest behind him these days even though at one stage he was a true contender for the Welterweight title, so he's ready to go out and work for a Fight of the Night performance.

Round 1: Erick Silva starts off this fight in full Bruce Lee mode, he's all posing and doing a weird karate style stance, hands low, no fucking respect for this opponents striking. Silva lands a quick knee to the body as Fitch takes him down and quickly takes his back. Silva manages to keep both leg hooks from sinking in by leaning against the cage and wall walking to his feet but Fitch just punishes him with some punches to the face from behind. Silva manages to weather the storm but Fitch slips in a standing arm triangle attempt. Silva manages to wiggle his way free and they're back standing facing each other. Silva goes back to his open side karate stance and throws some fancy strikes at Fitch including a jumping scissor kick, Karate kid style. He does however land a remarkable overhand right to Fitch and immediately clinches him up against the cage. Silva tries to push and walk away but Fitch quickly seizes upon him and continues to clench up, they travel to the other side of the ring but Silva still maintains control of the clench. Silva lands a savage overhand elbow but Finch also manages to land a pretty clean right hook too. Both stagger away and meet up in the centre of the Octagon again for Silva to hit a glancing spinning back kick to the body. Both tie up again in another clench exchange but Finch manages to grab both of Silva's legs and take him back to the mat, Jon ends the round on Silva's back laying in with some lefts. easily Fitch's round.

Round 2: Silva enters the round more cautiously than before as he doesn't want to repeat what happened in the first round. He measures Jon a little more before going for a spinning backfist, Finch however ducks and lands a nice uppercut. Fitch lands a few more strong strikes before Silva sweeps him and takes Fitch to the ground. Silva is now in control as he works Finch's body from the ground as he tries to advances his position better. Fitch makes it to his feet, separates the hands and they're both standing once again. They get back into another clench striking exchange. Finch tries Silva up against the cage and takes for another double leg takedown but Silva slips past and takes his back. Silva trips him and gets him in a deep rear naked choke, this looks like the end of the match right here. Mike Goldberg reminds the home viewers that Jon Fitch has the best Submission defence in UFC history as he has escaped 23 submission attempts on him during his UFC Career. We then proceed to see Jon Fitch miracle his way out of a deep rear naked choke, the guy is some sort of magician to get out of it. He just works his way out of the choke, turns and mounts an exhausted Silva and just lays in him. Fitch then takes Silva's back, during the last 10 seconds of the round Fitch goes for an armbar but Silva manages to survive by pointing his thumb towards Fitch to alleviate the pressure on the elbow joint. Silva ends up on his stomach to close out the round. A stronger round from Erick Silva and I might give this one to Silva as he was in control for most of the round.

Round 3: both stagger out to eh middle, Fitch is trying to rally the crowd to get into this fight. He's staying true to his promise to try and win fight of the night. They circle each other for a bit before Jon tags him with a left jab and drags Silva to the ground. Jon just lands some brutal ground and pound on Silva from his back and seems to be softening him up for a Rear naked choke finish. Silva manages to power his way back to his feet but snaps in a front guillotine attempt on Fitch. Silva can't finish it and Fitch lands some more shots from inside Silva's guard. Jon goes again for another Rear naked choke attempt but Silva wall walks back up to his feet but Jon throws him back down to the ground and manages to flatten Silva and just rains down punches into the side of Silva's head. Fitch is exhausted but he is still landing some devastating punches while mounted on Silva. Final seconds of the match Silva tries to get back p to his feet but Fitch holds him in a front choke to end the fight. The siren sounds and the fights break away to show a dejected Erick Silva as he knows he lost his first fight in his MMA career.

Result: Jon Fitch wins by unanimous Judges decision after 3 Rounds

Short Review: Erick Silva showed a lot of inexperience with his arrogant fighting style, lost to a superior grappler in Jon Fitch on the Judges scorecard after an excellent fight of the night contest.

==============================

[Lightheavyweight Bout] - Glover Teixeira vs. Fabio Maldonado

Fabio Maldonado took this fight on a week's notice and we have a guy who hasn't been Knocked out and is a pretty damn good boxer vs. Glover Teixeira is a straight up killer being trainned by Chuck Liddel. According to Chuck Glover is best Lightheavyweight today so the guy is a legit threat, he doesn't quite have as much weight behind his name as the other top contender fighters but it does seem like a lot of fighters don't want to get in the Octagon with him. He doesn't quite have the name to generate money for the fight even though he is a legit elite fighter but I guess that change soon enough when he start taking on real top level names, I still don't like his chances against Jones though.

Round 1: Round starts with both men standing toe to toe and exchanging shots, a nice little boxing contest. Glover tags Fabio a few times with his one two combo of right cross into a left hook and Fabio hits the mat dazed. Glover mounts Fabio and just rains down a storm of savage punches. Fabio has an exceptional chin to take this punishment but Glover locks in a deep arm triangle choke. The match seems as good as over but somehow Fabio escapes but Glover just goes back to punching his face in from the mount. Fabio is just absorbing all these punches and any normal man would've been KO'ed by the onslaught. Miraculously Fabio makes it to his feet out of the guard still swinging away like a champion. But Fabio is clearly out on his feet, he's leaning against the cage and his face is already a swollen mess. Glover is just teeing off on Fabio as the cage is literally the only thing holding Fabio up on his feet. Fabio then lands a sweet left hook on Glover and stuns him, both men stand there loopy. Fabio looks like he could pull out the surprise upset KO victory late in the round. Both still groggy Glover shoots for a takedown and Fabio defends with a guillotine as the round ends. Incredible that that fight wasn't stopped by the ref when Glover mounted Fabio, the guy really is a task to KO. Round easily to Glover but what heart from Fabio.

Round 2: Fabio is able to answer the bell and Round 2 begins with Glover just takedown Fabio immediately with a single leg. Glover steps over and lands more strikes but Fabio gets back to his feet, Glover is more aggressive with his striking as he marches forward with his punches and Fabio seems to be working for a counter hit every time Glover advances. Glover shoots for another single leg takedown and gets it, gets Fabio on the ground and just lays in more savage ground and pound, nasty elbows from top position. Fabio does his best tieing Glover up in his guard and manages to stay in the fight on his back. Minute left in the round ref stands them up and calls the doctor over to check Fabio, his face looks like it was smashed against a beehive. They check his vision to see if he can still see out of his eyes and if he even knows were he is.The doctor let's it go and the fight continues. Both men touch gloves and the fight continues, they continue with more boxing. Fabio is still trying for his sneaky counter jab but Glover just keeps springing forward at Fabio and landing some stiff left hooks. Fabio is in a lot of trouble, he keeps backing up and touching the cage, he's constantly checking his bearings, it's it literally a medical mystery how he is even on his feet at the moment. Thankfully the round ends and both commentators and everyone else are just awestruck that they made it to the end of the round.

The Round ends and Fabio gives a nod at Glover and then stumbles around trying to find his corner. As he is placed down on his corner the doctor comes over and mercifully ends the fight.

Fabio is mad that the fight got stopped but honestly there was no need to send him out to receive more punishment. After the fight Glover although completely dominante in his victory takes his hat off to Fabio Maldonado and just says "He isn't Human".

Result: Glover Teixeira wins by Ref stoppage on Doctor's advice at the end of the 2nd Round.

Short Review: Glover Teixeira beats the ever loving hell out of Fabio Maldonado for 2 full rounds until the Doctor stops the match. Fabio is inhuman, the fact that he wasn't KO'd after being punched in the face nearly 200 times is insane. That being said, Glover Taixeira is the real deal and I look forward to see him taking on Rampage Jackson in the near future.

Sidenote: I loved that Fabio came out to Rocky's theme, I'm sure someone had to have told Stallone about this dude. If there was ever evidence of a Rocky Balboa like chin it's Fabio Maldonado. If Roy Nelson ever does lose all that extra weight there would be some serious interest in a fight against Maldonado. But then again Roy has built his fanbase around his look, his heart and his skill so you know, whatever. I'd just like to see that fight.Especially if it was kept standing.

=============================

[Heavyweight Bout] Dave Herman vs. Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira

Story behind this one is juicy, Dave Herman is an young up and coming Heavyweight Contender. He's an amazing Wrestler and believes Jiu Jitsu doesn't work on him because he's never been submitted. He's claiming to keep Nogueira up off the ground to to KO the guy. Respected Veteran fighter Nogueira doesn't like how disrespectful this young punk American Wrestler is and says he'll Knock him out instead.Or you know, be the first guy to submit Herman.

This should be good one, Herman is coming off a few loses and Nogueira is returning back to the Octagon after having his wrist broken, plus the event is in Brazil, how could he say no to his country men that all love and adore Big Nog? So you know, both guys would really like a win.

Round 1: Herman scores a good take down early and works him around on the ground with some nice punches. Herman gets of Nog and they stand back up. Herman lands some nice kicks to the body until Nogueira clinches Herman against the fence and lands some strikes himself. They separate again Herman does well at keeping Nogueira at a safe distance but Nogueira manages to land a few nice shots. They go in and out of a few clinches and the round runs itself out with no real advantage to either man, I guess I'd give it to Nogueira as he landed a few more significant strikes.

Round 2: Herman starts off the round in his long rangy stance with his right arm outstretch to continue to keep Nogueira at bay until Nogueira manages to sneak a nice overhand right through the guard to stumble Herman. Big Nog manages to work Herman into an Americana Armbar attempt but Herman fights it off. Nog gets into a mount and pummels away, Herman tries to escape and gives up his back. Herman tries to roll out but Nogueira holds onto his arm and spider webs him into an armbar. Herman cleverly puts his feet onto the face of Nogueira and works his way out of the armbar attempt. Herman works his way back up to his feet and they stand again, the crowd cheer and acknowledge Herman's excellent submission defence. Herman lands another big take down and Nogueira goes for another armbar but again Herman gets back up out of the attempt. Nogueira then lands a trip take down and works into full mount position immediately. He takes Hermans arm and goes for another armbar attempt, Herman does amazingly well to defend against it and manages to twist his body out of a dangerous position but he flips himself and goes belly up and Nogueira cinches in the armbar and Herman has to concede defeat and be awarded with his first submission loss in his career.

Result 2nd Round Submission victory - 4 minutes 31 seconds via: Armbar

Short Review: Herman does amazingly well to avoid tapping out for as long as he did, Nogueira managed to land some good punishment on his feet but his Superior submission skills found their way through Herman's impressive grappling defences.

Sidenote: Good on Big Nog to get a victory in his hometown but what does this mean for Herman? this is his third loss in a row.

==============================

[Lightheavyweight Bout] - Anderson "The Spider" Silva vs. Stephan "The American Psycho" Bonnar

This really is a everything or nothing for Stephan Bonnar. He has everything to gain and nothing to lose from this match. He's facing the Greatest Fighter in the World and no one expects him to win. He was on 14 to 1 underdog going into this match. I really do wish him the best but Anderson Silva is the man, He's THE MAN. I'm expecting Silva to walk all over him after he gets a good look at his game plan then breaks him down like a computer just like that Okami fight. Anderson Silva trolls you then he beats you with some kind of bullshit space karate that Steven Seagal might have taught him.

Round 1: Stephan advances early and Silva scoots sideways and slips, Stephan presses him up against the Cage immediately starts laying in some knees to the thighs of the Spider. Someone starts chanting Bonnar bomaye! from the crowd, Famous African Ali boxing chant) which is cute. Ali seems to be the hot theme for the fight. Anderson pretty much fights off a takedown attempt against the fence. Bonnar throws in some nice dirty boxing from a high clench but Anderson still snuff out a takedown attempt again. Anderson applies a high face clench and controls Bonnar down to lower his position so he can using his leverage to change the positioning. Silva now has Bonnar up against the cage. Anderson gives up control against the cage again and fights his way out to make Bonnar separate. Then Anderson Silva starts his troll mode. He stands up against the cage and eats some hard punches from Bonnar. Silva pushes his away and Bonnar attacks again with his one, two punch combo that worked before but this time Anderson sidesteps to the right and tags Bonnar with a counter jab and almost hits with a right cross. Silva stands back up against the fence. Stephan Bonnar throws a savage spinning back kick. Anderson Silva sidesteps Bonnar hits the cage and crashes against it and Anderson Silva just stands there and stares at him. Silva gives up positioning again and after another failed strike at Silva Bonnar just lays on him against the Cage. Silva nods arrogantly with his corner reassuring them that "Yeah I got this", Silva literally doesn't care about any of the skills Bonnar is showing, except unlike Erick Silva, Anderson clearly has this. He pushes away and again and starts head bobbing and dodging Bonnar's punches, Ali style. He literally looks like he's in a movie directed by the Wakoski's. Bonnar tries to press up advancing in a high guard but Silva fends him off with some stiff elbow swings that don't quite connect but make Bonnar re-evaluate his point of attack. Bonnar then attempts to wildly swing at Silva but Silva holds him back with one hand as the other one just lands uppercuts. Just more of this humiliating approach that Anderson has taken to this fight, Joe points out that if Bonnar even stood a chance in the fight it would be if he pressed Silva up against the cage and just punches his lights out with a flurry of rights and that's what's happening and it isn't working because Anderson Silva is a far superior fighter.... fighter doesn't seem like enough of a word. He seems like he's demi god where he just fools around with Mortals. Anyway Silva works out of Bonnar's clenches tips him then bounces Bonnar against the cage and delivers just what can only be called a perfectly placed jumping knee to the solar plexus / chest. It literally looks like he collapses a lung with this knee strike. They show many different angles from the replay because that is pretty much it after that, Silva just lays on top of him as Bonnar just curls up in a ball trying to regain his breathe and probably thoughts after his whole body just shutdown. Anderson Silva wins.... Surprised?

Result: Anderson Silva wins by TKO - 4 minutes and 48 seconds via: Jumping Knee and ground punches

Short Review: Anderson Silva makes Bonnar look like a fool by standing up against the cage and letting Bonnar attack him multiple times only to eventually counter an attack into a flying knee to the chest and collapses Bonnar at the near end of the first round.

Sidenote: A Victory for Brazil

Sidenote: A little weird seeing Stephan Bonnar, a guy that has never been stopped or TKO'd before was only stopped this one time only because his body shutdown momentarily because Anderson Silva collapsed a lung. So as he laid there incapable of movement because you know, he's trying to regain his breathe after having it all knee striked out of him. Had the ref just let Anderson continue to punch Bonnar for another 12 seconds while he tries to regain his breathe it would've been interesting to see how Anderson would've stopped the fight in the second. He was playing with Bonnar after he figured him out, fair enough that Bonnar announced his retirement after this bout.

Hey if you're going to go out, Losing to Anderson Silva isn't too bad, he's the Best in the World.

Thankfully the UFC have graciously uploaded the fight that made Stephan Bonnar's career, his UFC debut along with Forrest Griffon as they fought for a UFC contract. Even though Bonnar lost the fight on a decision he still earned a Contract from the sheer will and heart he showed. He wanted to be a UFC Fighter so he could take care of himself and his wife and now that he can and he has a kid on the way, I guess any man wouldn't be too sore on themselves if they retired by losing to the Spider. What a career Stephan Bonnar.

It's Halloween Somewhere

Thought I'd just dump some Halloween Videos that have been circulating the web this Halloween season.

First the definitive Guide to trading Candy:
Now trick or treating isn't as common as it is in America but it is good that someone has taken the time to aggregate the general worth of all the types of candy into this handy informative video.

100 Greatest Horror Quotes of all time
From the scathing pop culture critics at Pajiba we have a collection of the top 100 Horror movie lines in cinema. It's pretty thorough in its selection of quotes too, I honestly can't think of all that many that are missing but then again my idea of what can be considered a Great Horror is yet to be proven as an reliable opinion. The Happening was a good movie, right?

Things You Can Be On Halloween Besides Naked!
The Weekend before Halloween I was wondering around the city and honestly there were already a bunch of young girls wearing slutty variations of costumes. Slutty Nurses, Slutty Devils, Slutty Angels. International costume day really does seem to bring out the inner whore in most girls and I'm not complaining...

But these chicks are. Damn Girl Power.

Song of the Day: "This is Halloween" - Panic in the Disco
Yeah I had my choice of many Halloween themed songs, this one just sprang to mind immediately and I'm going go with the gut feeling.
