Happy Leap Day

I don't actually have anything important or insightful to say about today. It only comes around every 4 years and is generally uneventful in my eyes. But hey it is worth noting that it is a special day because February 29th holds some strange meaning to some people.

There are so few that are born on Leap Day and are called Leapers. They celebrate their true birthdays every 4 years and I guess it just makes those 'real' birthdays that much more special to them. However you can't be a Smartass on legal documents when you claim to only be 12 when you're body is 48.

There is an old British Isles tradition that every 4 years on Leap Day a Woman can propose Marriage to their Man, now living in a modern society this may seem a little dated but this practice has been going for some time and if the man refuse the marriage proposal... He'd have to buy the lady a dress.

Quaintly it is sometimes referred to as Bachelor Day...
