My Computer belongs in a Museum

Every time I turn on my trusty computer I see always see how old the Software is and remember how my family had basically purchased it brand new with all the latest software, hardware and whatever other tech words were buzzing at the time. 2002 was a different time, a time of internet growth, people had gotten over the Y2K bug and were trusting computers again....

Which is stupid because I'm pretty sure Computers will become self aware within 10 years.... But that's another blog entry entirely....

2002 doesn't seem that long ago... Actually it does to me now considering 2002 was almost a decade ago if you think about it. Jesus I'm starting to feel a little old at 22 for some reason, anyway 9 years may or may not seem like that much time but in Computer Years 9 years is like 30 years considering how fast Technology seems to be quickly evolving.

Oh let get into detail, its software is so outdated it takes 3 entry keys to get into the log in screen. Its probably because I've fragged something inside after I've gone off trying to clean the hard drive while I accidentally delete important applications.... Sigh.

I can hear it loudly humming away after 5 minutes of use, the internal fan sounds like a fucking car engine, its deafening. It just kicks into loud fan mode every time I open a 2nd tab in Firefox.

Also it takes a good while for programs to start up and to shut-down. Especially scanning programs which requires a whole lot cooperation system wise. Yep, this old girl is just a stubborn ol' bat. I'll miss her though...

Once I get me one of those cheap and fast new age laptops. Oh I'll be having fun playing with that sweet thing long into those sweaty Summer Nights... You should probably leave now. I might write some dirty sci-fi porno about.... Never mind.
